1. The Past Simple Tense:

S + V2/V-ed + O
S + didn’t + V (B.I) + O
Did + S + V (B.I) + O?
WH- + did + S + V(B.I) + O ?

Adverbs: yesterday, last, ago
Usage: indicate an action that happened and finished at a point of time in the past.
Fill in the blanks with a verb from the box in the SIMPLE PAST:

2. The Present Perfect Tense:

S + have/has + P.P …
S + haven’t/ hasn’t + P.P …
Have/ Has + S + P.P…?
WH- + have/ has + S + P.P …?

Adverbs: yet, already, just, recently, lately, ever, never … (before)
Prepositions: since, for
Usage: talk about experiences in our life up to now, but we don’t say when they happened.
To say something that started in the past and continues in the present.
To say something that happened a short time ago, but we don’t say exactly when.

Write a suitable sentence using the PRESENT PERFECT TENSE :

Ann’s hair was dirty. Now it’s clean. (wash) ……... Ann has washed her hair…………
